Gandhi Jayanti in October heralded many inter-school competitions. The theme of the essay How To Save The Earth (one of the founding principles of My School Satya Surabhi) gave the children an opportunity to express their ideas on the protection of our fragile environment. Village Cleaning which is an ongoing activity of our school was carried out in the Villpatti Village, to educate the rural people and to spread awareness about the hazards of plastic and open garbage dumps.

Fifty saplings were also planted in schools, colleges, Mosques, Temples and Churches. You will be happy to note that many saplings planted in the previous years, have grown into strong, young trees. These little acts of nurture will go a long way to preserve nature and sow the seeds of compassion, love and tolerance, in our children because, we believe that when you care for the earth you care for humanity.
